Travel Budget is an offline-first travel expense tracker. This page is the public privacy policy for the app.

What the app stores

The app stores the following information locally on your device:

• Expense records that you enter
• Categories that you create
• App settings such as base currency, language, theme, and budget
• Cached exchange rates used for conversion and calculations
• Optional backup files that you export yourself

Location data

If you allow location access, the app uses your current location once to suggest the local currency for new expenses.

• Location is used for app functionality only
• Location permission is optional
• If permission is denied, the app falls back to the device locale

Network requests

The app may contact the following third-party services:

1. open.er-api.com for exchange rates
2. nominatim.openstreetmap.org for reverse geocoding when location-based currency suggestion is used

These services receive the minimum request data needed to return their responses.

Accounts and authentication

The app does not require an account and does not include sign-in.

Analytics, ads, and tracking

The app does not include advertising SDKs or analytics/tracking SDKs.

Data sharing

Expense data is not shared with other users by default. Data export and backup actions are initiated by you.

Data retention

Your data remains on your device until you delete it, uninstall the app, or overwrite it by importing another backup.

Your choices

You can:

• Deny location permission
• Remove app data by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage
• Export your data before deleting the app
